RECENT PROJECTS
Below is a sampling of some of the projects we have worked on...
PROJECT // Digital Plasma Generator Controller
PROJECT // BLE-Based Blood
Pressure Sensor
Client: MKM Ventures
Industry: Medical Device
Technology: High Voltage Circuit, OLED display controller, High voltage Isolated Power supply design
Generation of plasma requires the presence of high voltage to cause insulation breakdown in the air. High Voltage can be created when there is a rapid change in current in an inductive circuit. To achieve this, we need to generate pulses that have a rise time in 10's of nanoseconds. This project required the design of a fast response analog circuit using discrete components and a controller to display and control the parameters. With the controller designed at Quiretech, the user can control the frequency and magnitude of the pulses generated by the plasma generator. In order to be functional in the presence of high voltage pulses in the range of 15kVs, the system utilizes extreme isolation techniques.
Client: MKM Ventures
Industry: Medical Device
Technology: BLE, PPG sensing, precision force measurement
The product required development of a data acquisition and conditioning system for a PPM (photoplethysmography) sensor with an additional input from a load cell force sensor. The data collected from the sensors are sent to a mobile app using a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connection, where the user's blood pressure data is analyzed to display systolic and diastolic values.
PROJECT // Motor Driver
Client: Aescape
Industry: Commercial
Technology: Motor controllers for robotic application
Client needed a self-contained, portable, programmable motor controller to drive multiple robotic arms for an autonomous massage table. Project entailed the design and assembly of
a safe power distribution and control harness to the motor controllers as well as a remote emergency shut-off buttons.
PROJECT // Anesthesia Delivery
Client: Henley Ion
Industry: Medical Device
Technology: Precision Analog Feedback Control Circuit for Low-Current Delivery
Client had developed a dental anesthesia delivery device that eliminates injections. Quiretech was engaged to debug a non-functioning prototype and determine the cause(s) of failure and then to optimize the circuit to make it more efficient, easier to assemble and be able to operate at a different input voltage. The circuit design was analyzed and tested and a report generated that pointed to multiple points of failure and ways to improve the design. Quiretech went on to fabricate and assemble multiple newly designed units for use in clinical trials.
